With his second consecutive score of 5-under-par 66, home favorite Ben Fogler holds a four-shot lead heading into the third round of the SCGA Amateur Championship at The Members Club at Woodcreek in Elgin.

Fogler, a rising sophomore at Vanderbilt and a member of the host club, made a total of nine birdies Friday to move to 10 under for the tournament.

Bluffton's J.D. Lehman is six shots behind after back-to-back rounds of 69, and Beaufort's Rob Simmons is seven behind the leader.

The Amateur Championship, in its 82nd year, is one of 19 majors conducted by the South Carolina Golf Association.
