Two people were robbed Wednesday night in Dale when they arrived to pick up a man at a residence on Vidalia Road.

A 25-year-old woman and a 24-year-old man were asked by a friend, a white man known only to the woman as "Breeze," to pick up a man at a home on Vidalia Road, according to a news release from the Beaufort County Sheriff's office.

The pair were to take the man to a hotel in Bluffton where "Breeze" was staying.

When they got to the Vidalia Road home, two men approached them and asked them to wait. The men went into the home and returned carrying guns. They took the belongings of the 24-year-old man and ran into nearby woods, according to the release.

No one was injured.

The man and woman drove to Kinloch Road and called law enforcement.

The robbers were described only as black men. One was wearing a white T-shirt; the other wore a blue sweatshirt.

Neither of the victims had any additional information on "Breeze."

Anyone with information about the crime can call Investigator Sgt. J. Gobel at 843-255-3421 or Crime Stoppers at 888-274-6372.
