Protesters should help instead of complaining

Shameful. The July 21 front-page photo showed a fairy tale "prop" being used to protest a not guilty verdict by jurors in the George Zimmerman trial. Since when do we mock the death of a young black man with a fairy tale symbol?

Where is the picture and outrage for the mother and her 18-month-old, white baby, who was shot in the face by two young black men? President Barack Obama and Attorney General Eric Holder, why don't you send your investigators to Georgia for this hate crime?

Where is racism taught? The White House, homes, churches and rag media. Why is racism only a white or Hispanic thing?

Our race-bating president couldn't have been Trayvon Martin 35 years ago. Thirty-five years ago, Obama was being raised by two loving, white grandparents, not by his black father, who didn't want him.

I challenge every protester to spend one hour each year in Chicago's River Forest and Oak Park neighborhoods, mentoring black kids, as Zimmerman did in Florida.

Are Obama, Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson and the protesters scared to go to these streets with only black residents. Are they scared to have these black kids in their homes to teach integrity, reading, anger management, sex education, responsibility and self-respect or help them with homework and finding a job?

Would the white and black screaming, angry protestors make a difference if they bought those black kids a pair of shoes, a loaf of bread or paid their utility bill?
