Community groups help "Pack the Bus" with school supplies

Volunteers from Beaufort-Jasper-Hampton Comprehensive Health Services, the South Carolina Primary Health Care Association and Henry Schein Healthy Lifestyles, Healthy Communities drop off school supplies at a school bus parked at Beaufort-Jasper-Hampton Health Services office along S.C. 170 in Okatie on Thursday. Together, the three organizations provided a total of 250 backpacks as part of a drive to "Pack the Bus" with school supplies for needy students held on Thursday. All supplies are to be distributed to children in the Beaufort County School District.

Beaufort County residents, businesses and community groups “Packed the Bus” with school supplies for needy students. Beaufort-Jasper-Hampton Comprehensive Health Services, the South Carolina Primary Health Care Association and Henry Schein Healthy Lifestyles combined resources and donated 250 backpacks. Some of the school supplies donated were pencils, scissors, spiral notebooks, crayons, erasers, rulers and pencil sharpeners.
