PALS offers after-school care

Beaufort County Parks and Leisure Services is accepting applications for after-school care at its centers in both northern and southern Beaufort County.

The dates for the after-school program are Aug. 19 to June 4. It runs from 3 to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday for children in kindergarten through fifth grade. Tuition is $65 a month.

In Beaufort, the after-school program is at Burton Wells, Port Royal, Charles Lind Brown, Scott and Broomfield activity centers. In Bluffton, the after-school program is at the Bluffton Recreation Center.

Interested families can register online at or in person at the Burton Wells Recreation Center on Middleton Recreation Drive in Burton, or the Buckwalter Recreation Center on Buckwalter Parkway in Bluffton.
