'A Marriage of Two Traditions,' artwork of Jery Bennett-Taylor, on display at Penn Center

"A Marriage of Two Traditions," an exhibition of art by sweetgrass basket maker Jery Bennett-Taylor, runs through July 31 at The York W. Bailey Museum at the historic Penn Center, 16 Penn Center Circle West, St. Helena Island. The exhibit incorporates Bennett-Taylor's acrylic paintings depicting Gullah Geechee life called "Expressions in Sweetgrass."

Museum hours are from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Appointments are scheduled for groups tours.
