Savannah tops Hilton Head in PGA Junior League playoff matchup

Savannah defeated Hilton Head 9-3 in the 2013 PGA Junior League Golf playoffs on Saturday morning at Harbour Town Golf Links in Sea Pines resort.

Savannah moves on to compete in the S.C. Championship to be held July 29 at Ft. Jackson Golf Club in Columbia.

PGA Junior League is designed to better socialize the game of golf for boys and girls, ages 13 and younger. The competitions are structured in a team format (10 to 12 players with numbered jerseys) with the teams in leagues depending on geographical location.

Bryan Allen and Hudson Buck (HH) def. Vincent Dobbins and Collin Young (SAV), 2-1

Aidan Ganley and Brody Sessions (SAV) def. JC Bauer, Claeland Jones and Benjamin Wiegel (HH), 3-0

Sarah Edwards, Alvia Rukmana and Rin Richardson (SAV) def. Thomas Gulbin and Max Marko (HH), 3-0

Reed Lotter, Elena Panzitta and Owen Schiff (SAV) def. Lucas Tomita, Michael Garvin and Emma Hayward (HH), 2-1
