Lowcountry Legal Volunteers thanks Hargray Caring Coins Foundation

letters@islandpacket.comJuly 19, 2013

On behalf of the volunteers, staff, clients and board of directors of Lowcountry Legal Volunteers, I would like to express our gratitude to the Hargray Caring Coins Foundation for a generous grant of $5,000 that allowed us to continue a series of upgrades to our computer systems and software, which were woefully outdated and prone to constant problems.

Lowcountry Legal Volunteers is the only organization in the region providing volunteer-based legal services that promote the well-being of our areas neediest individuals and families. We receive no governmental funding and depend solely on individual and corporate donations and grant funding from our local and regional foundations.

We are deeply appreciative to the Hargray Caring Coins Foundation and their customers, whose extra coins fund the grants to a wide variety of nonprofit organizations in our community. The generous efforts of the foundation improve our community and for that, we are truly thankful.
