Hilton Head Regional Habitat for Humanity thankful for help in rehabilitating house

Hilton Head Regional Habitat for Humanity is rehabilitating a house on William Hilton Parkway on Hilton Head Island.

Funding for the critical repairs to this house is coming from the South Carolina Housing Authority, administered by the Lowcountry Council of Governments. We are very grateful to both the council and the Housing Authority for their support of making critical repairs to the house.

The residents of Rose Hill also have played a big part in funding the repairs, raising more than $1,800 to cover the cost of windows. It took one letter from two residents to their neighbors, and the money was raised in just a few days.

Community support is vital to the success of Habitat's mission, and we are grateful to the residents of Rose Hill, along with our friends and partners at the Lowcountry Council of Governments and the Housing Authority for their support in ensuring that every resident of southern Beaufort and Jasper counties has a simple, decent place to live.
