Kim Jones has been promoted to director of the Town of Bluffton's stormwater management division. Jones' duties include overseeing May River protection programs.

Jones has worked for the town since 2007. She was most recently the water quality program manager. She has previously been the vice president of the Coastal Discovery Museum and the science and education director for Palmetto Bluff Conservancy.

She started her new position July 16. Jones replaces Ron Bullman, who took a private sector division position in Charleston. Bullman's tenure began with the creation of the division in 2010.
