The Beaufort chapter of the U.S. Military Vets Motorcycle Club, a national veterans group, plans a motorcycle wash, car wash and jamboree at 11 a.m. Saturday at Carolina Honky Tonk on SC 170 in Okatie.

The event will raise money for Wreaths Across America, a nationwide ceremony planned for mid-December, when wreaths will be put on grave markers at various national cemeteries. Money raised at the jamboree will be used to buy wreaths for graves at Beaufort National Cemetery.

The jamboree is open to the public. For washing motorcycles, donations of $5 will be requested; for cars, $10. Local bands will play, a drawing will be held and attendees can purchase food, refreshments and event T-shirts.

For more information contact Rick Shrek at 843-540-2944 or Carolina Honky Tonk at 843-645-2333. Carolina Honky Tonk is about one-fourth of a mile west of SC 170's intersection with Callawassie Drive, on the westbound side of the highway.
