St. Francis thrift presents grants to charities

The St. Francis Thrift Shop on Hilton Head Island presented $60,000 in grants to area charities Tuesday.

The recipients were the Hilton Head Boys & Girls Club, the Child Abuse Prevention Association, Citizens Opposed to Domestic Violence, The Deep Well Project, Heroes on Horseback, Hilton Head Citizens for Life, Hilton Head Heroes, the Hilton Head Island Recreation Association, Hilton Head Island Safe Harbour, Hope Haven of the Lowcountry, Literacy Volunteers of the Lowcountry, U.S. Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation, Meals on Wheels Bluffton-Hilton Head, Memory Matters, National Alliance on Mental Illness, Neighborhood Outreach Connection, Operation R&R, Pregnancy Center, Program for Exceptional People, Sandalwood Food Pantry, Second Helpings, Special Olympics South Carolina-Area 8, Treat the Troops, and Volunteers in Medicine Hilton Head Island.
