Literacy Volunteers of the Lowcountry thanks St. Francis Thrift Shop, Rotary Club of Bluffton

Literacy Volunteers of the Lowcountry would like to thank two donors that have demonstrated their generosity to us recently.

The St. Francis Thrift Shop has provided support that will directly impact students at our St. Francis By the Sea Catholic Church satellite site in Hilton Head Island. This past year, our dedicated staff and tutors served more than 90 students at this location.

St. Francis Thrift Shop's donation will help us continue our mission of equipping adults with the reading, writing, speaking and math skills they need to improve their lives and the lives of their children.

Rotary Club of Bluffton recently presented us with a check that will allow us to purchase books and supplies for our students at Bluffton locations. In this most recent program year, our enrollment in Bluffton has increased 35 percent, and we see that trend continuing. This donation is both very timely and very appreciated.

Literacy Volunteers of the Lowcountry is grateful for these and other generous donors who understand the importance of empowering the lives of adults in Beaufort County. Thank you.
