Sandalwood Community Food Pantry thanks St. Francis Thrift Soup

letters@islandpacket.comJuly 12, 2013

Sandalwood Community Food Pantry gives thanks and praise to St. Francis Thrift Shop for its continued support. Its generous grant for 2013 will allow us to continue our mission to serve the poorest of the poor and bring hope to those who stopped believing hope was possible.

The St. Francis Thrift Shop is a model outreach ministry that benefits the community as its volunteers and sponsor live out what it means to be a good neighbor by providing clothing and household items at no cost to so many of our Sandalwood Pantry clients in need.

They share in our belief that people, even more than things, have to be restored, renewed, revived, reclaimed, and redeemed, but never, ever thrown out.

We give thanks for their desire to share the bounty and bless us with their many gifts of time, talent and financial support as our friend and partner. Come and visit us, as one of our greatest joys is in making new friends.
