New assistant principals named at 10 Beaufort County schools

The Beaufort County School District has appointed a group of veteran local educators to fill assistant principal positions at 10 district schools.

They are:

  • Michelle Brockway - a teacher at Hilton Head Island School for the Creative Arts who will become an assistant principal at Hilton Head Island Elementary.

  • Yolanda Goethe - a math coach at Beaufort Middle School who will become an assistant principal at St. Helena Elementary.

  • Matt Hall - a principal intern at Whale Branch Middle School who will become an assistant principal at St. Helena Elementary.

  • Freddie Lawton - an assistant principal at St. Helena Elementary who will become an assistant principal at Whale Branch Middle School.

  • Tara Mack - an assistant principal at St. Helena Elementary who will become an assistant principal at Mossy Oaks Elementary School.

  • Pamela Maddox - an assistant principal at Hilton Head Island Middle School who will become an assistant principal at H.E. McCracken Middle School.

  • Sarah Owen - an assistant principal at Hilton Head Island Elementary who will become an assistant principal at Hilton Head Island Early Childhood Center.

  • Elizabeth Rivera - a teacher at Beaufort Elementary School who will become an assistant principal at Joseph S. Shanklin Elementary School.

  • Steven Schidrich - a principal intern at Bluffton Middle School who will become an assistant principal at the school.

  • Connie Singleton-Murphy - an assistant principal at Whale Branch Middle School who will become an assistant principal at Robert Smalls Middle School.

  • Joseph Warfield - an assistant principal at H.E. McCracken Middle School who will become an assistant principal at Hilton Head Island Middle School.
