Sen. Scott to visit Lowcountry, S.C. counties this week

U.S. Sen. Tim Scott will visit 12 counties in South Carolina this week, including Jasper, Hampton and Colleton counties.

Over the weekend, Scott was in Horry and Richland counties, according to a news release from his office. Events are also scheduled in Aiken, Allendale, Bamberg, Edgefield, Lexington and Saluda counties.

The public events are as follows:

  • 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday: Jasper County constituent meet and greet, 205 East Main St., Hardeeville
  • 11:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. Tuesday: Colleton County constituent meet and greet, 242 Hampton St., Walterboro
  • 3:30 to 4:15 p.m. Tuesday: Allendale County constituent meet and greet, 292 Barnwell Highway, Allendale
  • 4:45 to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday: Bamberg County constituent meet and greet, 2959 Main Highway, Bamberg
  • 3:15 to 4 p.m. Wednesday: Edgefield County constituent meet and greet, 400 Main St., Edgefield
  • 4:30 to 5:15 p.m. Wednesday: Saluda County constituent meet and greet, 100 S. Jefferson, Saluda
  • 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Thursday: Scott will be the Grand Marshall at the Lexington County Peach Festival and Parade in Gilbert
Scott's schedule also includes tours of area businesses, a small business roundtable and a visit to a Savannah River site.
