Two men bound and robbed three Burger King employees at gunpoint early Sunday, according to a report from the Beaufort Police Department.

The men entered the Burger King at the intersection of Ribaut Road and Mossy Oaks Road at 5:15 a.m. Armed with handguns, they bound the employees using zip ties, Cpl. Hope Able said.

A female employee was fondled while one of the men searched her front shirt pocket, according to the report.

The men left the Burger King with $50 and a cellphone. One of the employees was able to free her hands and call police after the men left.

The employees were the only people inside the Burger King during the robbery, Able said.

The suspects, described as black men in their mid-20s, remain at large. An investigation is underway.
