A 63-year-old homeless man was charged with public disorderly conduct Thursday after deputies found him walking down a road in Burton with a Bud in one hand and a bag full of beer in the other, according to a report from the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies stopped the man along Pine Grove Road. He had an open can of beer and 16 more in the bag, according to the report.

After deputies saw his eyes were bloodshot and his speech slurred, he was arrested and charged with public disorderly conduct.
