Dixie Youth Minors tournament on Hilton Head Island has schedule altered by weather

ccox@islandpacket.comJune 27, 2013

The third round of the Dixie Youth Baseball Hilton Head Minors Super District Tournament was postponed Wednesday evening as thunderstorms hit the area.

The three games slated for Wednesday will be pushed back to Thursday, with the only time change coming in the Hampton/Varnville vs. Bluffton Nationals game, which moves from a 6 to 7 p.m. start time. Hilton Head Atlantic and Beaufort American will face off at 6 p.m. with the Beaufort East vs. Hilton Head Coastal winner's bracket game scheduled for 8 p.m.

The pair of fourth-round games will be pushed back to Friday. The rest of the schedule will be determined later Thursday afternoon, director Adam Markowitz said.

The tournament could opt to push Saturday's championship game back to Sunday or schedule a doubleheader Saturday evening.
