Marine Corps Band to play during Port Royal July 4th celebration

The Parris Island Marine Corps Band will play during the town of Port Royal's July 4th celebration at the Sands Beach.

The free festivities start at 5 p.m. A deejay also will play music and Tux the Clown will entertain until the band starts at 7:30 p.m.

The event will include a bounce house, face painting, food, drink, ice cream and popcorn.

The town's fireworks will begin at dusk.
