21 high school basketball teams set to play in Roundball Summer Jamboree

The third-annual Earl Campbell Roundball Summer Jamboree will be held Monday and Tuesday in Beaufort.

Whale Branch Early College High School, Battery Creek and Beaufort Academy will host games, which go from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. each day.

Including the three host schools, 21 boys teams are registered to compete. Among those will be Beaufort High School, Hilton Head Island High School, Bluffton High School and Ridgeland-Hardeeville High School.

The event has grown from its first year, when 10 teams -- and only two from Beaufort County -- competed.


What: Summer high school boys basketball scrimmages, with four, eight-minute quarters and a running clock

When: Monday and Tuesday, 10 a.m. until 6 p.m.

Where: Whale Branch, Battery Creek and Beaufort Academy

Who: 21 teams are registered, including seven from Beaufort and Jasper counties.
