Writing camps for sixth- through eighth-graders offered in July

Beaufort writer Katherine Tandy Brown is offering two, week-long summer writing camps for sixth- through eighth-graders based on Natalie Goldberg's classic "Writing Down the Bones," designed to further writing skills while creating stories.

First-session classes are from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. July 8, 10, 12; second-session classes are from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. July 15, 17, 19. Both sessions take place at the Charles Street Gallery in downtown Beaufort on the corner of Charles and Greene streets.

Cost is $65 for a one-week session of three classes.
