President, Congress must follow Constitution

info@islandpacket.comJune 14, 2013

The American people are ready to secure their rights. Governments are instituted among men and derive their just power from the consent of the governed. Whenever any form of government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the right of the people to alter it.

We demand the federal government start respecting the Constitution and enforcing the Bill of Rights.

On Sept. 11, 2012, the U.S. diplomatic building in Benghazi, Libya, was attacked. I am deeply saddened by the loss of Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans. President Barack Obama should have made all efforts to save these lives. The Obama administration did not even characterize the events as a terrorist attack until much later and still has not provided Congress with a transparent answer as to what actually happened that day.

The American people and the families of the fallen deserve the truth and reliable leadership. Anything else is simply unacceptable.
