Incentives 'explanation' prompts many questions

info@islandpacket.comJune 13, 2013

Beaufort County Council has committed $850,000 in incentives to an unnamed company, for an unnamed industry, in an undisclosed location. It is called "Project Robot."

Councilman Stu Rodman gave an oblique description at Monday's County Council meeting, which provoked more questions than it answered. All we know is that it involves a large piece of industrial equipment.

Are we talking nuclear waste, garbage from New York or a cupcake factory?

Fortunately, the gene pool and educational level in Beaufort County is adept enough to keep a careful eye on this one.
