Hilton Head beaches get new signs

info@islandpacket.comJune 12, 2013

The Town of Hilton Head Island has been installing new signs at 110 locations along its beaches this week.

The signs, which feature a more subdued design than those they replace, provide information about designated swimming areas, when animals are allowed on the beach and other rules. Spanish-language signs will be installed next month at the island's six public-beach parks.

The Island Packet is pleased to provide this opportunity to share information, experiences and observations about what's in the news. Some of the comments may be reprinted elsewhere in the site or in the newspaper. We encourage lively, open debate on the issues of the day, and ask that you refrain from profanity, hate speech, personal comments and remarks that are off point. Thank you for taking the time to offer your thoughts.
