The Burton Fire District will host a blood drive at one of its fire stations later this month to benefit a Colleton County firefighter battling non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.

The drive will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 22 at the Grays Hill Fire Station on Bruce K. Smalls Drive, according to Beaufort resident Erica Warko.

Warko's husband, Justin, works as a firefighter with Jordan Eaddy, who was diagnosed a little more than two months ago. Eaddy is receiving treatment at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, according to a Facebook support group in his name.
