Heritage Library teams up with Coastal Discovery Museum for Historic Fort Mitchel tours

The Heritage Library History & Genealogy Center and the Coastal Discovery Museum are collaborating on a tour of Historic Fort Mitchel. The guided tour will be given 10 a.m. every Thursday.

Fort Mitchel is a preserved Civil War-era coastal artillery battery that played a key role in the lives of Northern soldiers during the Union occupation from 1861 to 1866.

Tickets are $12 for adults, $7 for children ages 6-12.
