Little revealed about Bluffton pot-growing operation

Investigators seized 137 marijuana plants from a Bluffton-area home last week, but the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office isn't releasing details about the seizure.

On May 30, investigators discovered the plants in a house on Parkside Drive in the Woodbridge subdivision.

The Sheriff's Office had received information about the marijuana, but spokeswoman Sgt. Robin McIntosh would not say from whom. It is unclear if anyone was in the home during the search.

Sheriff P.J. Tanner said he would not release information "prematurely" about the active investigation.
