Thank you to Sunset Rotary Club from Treat the Troops

Treat the Troops thanks the Sunset Rotary Club for allowing us space at the 2013 RBC Heritage to raise funds for shipping our cookies to deployed soldiers.

Dan Hergenroeder graciously picked up and delivered the supplies to set up our table, a special service that was gratefully received by us.

Jack Wilson, who organizes the Patriot Outpost, thank you for that wonderful recognition of our active duty and retired military men and women.

To all who visited our table and donated funds for postal charges, you enable us to send cookies for approximately four months, thank you.

Thanks to all of the Crumbs who bake and pack cookies, 11 months out of the year, a true labor of love.

Flora's Italian Restaurant, Publix-Palmetto Bay Road and Walgreens-Festival Centre routinely provide wet wipes, candy and snack items. The soldiers love snacks and home-baked cookies. Please patronize these generous merchants.

The following is an excerpt from one of their letters: "Thank you very much for the boxes of cookies and other goodies that you mailed to my husband and his unit. They were all so pleased and at a loss for words for the care packages. I also cannot thank you enough for what you have done and what you continue to do for all of our soldiers overseas."

How can we ever forget, much less repay them for their sacrifices?
