High school softball players Moultrie of Whale Branch, Kerby of Bluffton and Halley of Hilton Head Island named to all-state teams

Whale Branch's Kenyada Moultrie, Bluffton High School's Kim Kerby and Hilton Head Island's Whitney Halley have been named to the S.C. Association for Women's College Sports all-state softball teams.

Moultrie, a senior, batted .714 for the Warriors, with four home runs, five triples and 28 RBIs. She also stole 20 bases and fielded .911 at shortstop.

Kerby, a junior third baseman, helped lead Bluffton to the Class 4-A Lower State final.

Halley is a junior pitcher and shortstop for the Seahawks.

Bluffton senior catcher Whitney Morrell was named to the 4A/1A South squad for the North/South All-Star Games to be held June 19 and 20 at USC Aiken's J.H. Satcher Field.
