BLUFFTON ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

EVENTS

  • The Kindergarten-first grade performance of "Bugz" will be 6:30 p.m. May 23 at the Early Childhood Center multipurpose room.

  • The school picnic is 5-7 p.m. May 31.

  • BLUFFTON MIDDLE SCHOOL

    HELPING HANDS

  • The student council motivated the entire school to raise $6,331.47 for Leo Vannoni. Through the Make a Wish Foundation, Leo and his family will visit Disney World. Leo has been battling leukemia for several months.

  • Red Carpet Night is from 6-8 p.m. May 30.

  • HILTON HEAD CHRISTIAN ACADEMY

    ACHIEVEMENTS

  • The Sporting Clays team completed in the state shooting meet at Rocky Creek Sporting Club in Richburg. JV squad Matt Crowe (89 out of 100 clays broken), Shaun Poole (81) and James Bartholomew (84) placing fourth out of 21 squads. Other scores include: Drew Davis (89), Hunter Greenwell (86), Kerry Davis (71), Reece Woods (52) and Bryce Flowers (78).

  • The kindergarten graduation will be 9 a.m. May 23.

  • Commencement exercises will be 10 a.m. May 25 at First Presbyterian Church Hilton Head.

  • HELPING HANDS

  • The Booster Club is in need of a volunteer coordinator for the 2013-14 school year. Duties include contacting sports families and Booster Club members and scheduling them for concessions and special events. Training will be provided. Details: kambrosic.soc@gmail.com

  • Art teacher Kim Smith received $2,500 for her media arts program through a grant from Tanger Outlets.

  • Christopher Cole Gardocki will attend the second annual Marine Corps Recruiting Command Summer Leadership and Character Development Academy in July at Marine Corps Base Quantico. The SLCDA will educate high school leaders about Marine Corps Officer.
