Priscilla Umstead joins Weichert team Weichert, Realtors-Coastal Properties welcomes Priscilla Umstead to the agency's sales team. Umstead will assist homebuyers and sellers in the Bluffton and Hilton Head Island area. She has more than 38 years of experience in the real estate industry and has worked for Weichert, Realtors offices in Sea Girt, Point Pleasant and Brick, N.J.

Ruth Ragland joins Coldwell Banker Ruth Ragland has joined Coldwell Banker Platinum Partners as a Realtor. Ragland specializes in residential properties in Beaufort County and will work out of the company's Beaufort office, 1211 Boundary St. Coldwell Banker Platinum Partners has offices from Beaufort to Savannah.

Keller Williams welcomes Kimball Jennifer Kimball has joined Keller Willams Realty as a sales agent. Originally from Boston, Kimball previously worked as a medical secretary and assistant. Keller Williams Realty is located at 8 Lafyette Place, Suite 203, Hilton Head Island.

Corkern attends president's council Christopher Corkern, a financial planner with Prudential Insurance, and president of The Corkern Group of Bluffton, was recently named a member of the Prudential Agency Distribution President's Council.The Corkern Group, provides business, investment, retirement and estate financial planning services. The program recognizes the prestigious achievement of top-performing financial professionals. The affiliation reflects Corkern's commitment to helping his clients achieve financial security by offering insurance and financial products that support their individual financial goals.

Casey Howard joins Judge Realty Casey Howard has joined Judge Realty as director of Property/Asset Management. Howard will oversee the property management services for the firm's Savannah residential and commercial portfolios, as well as spearheading marketing and business development to grow the business. Judge Realty manages over 200 properties throughout the Savannah area.

  • The Low Country Property Management Association will hold its monthly meeting at noon on Tuesday at the Country Club of Hilton Head in Hilton Head Plantation. Sally Irvin from the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office will speak about Crimestoppers and the benefit of community led policing. Members, associate members and their guests are invited.   • • Beach Properties, a vacation rental company serving Sea Pines Resort, Palmetto Dunes and Forest Beach on Hilton Head Island, recently launched a new mobile website. The new mobile site, www.beach-property.com/m, allows guests to search available vacation homes and villas by date, view property information, submit questions and make reservations. The new site also includes a "What's Nearby" feature that lists the names, locations and contact information for area restaurants.

  • The Greenery Garden Center, 960 William Hilton Parkway, Hilton Head Island, will offer several free gardening seminars in June. Butterfly gardens: 10:30 a.m., June 5 and June 8. Master gardener Sue Roderus will discuss how to create a butterfly oasis. Nectar and host plants for attracting butterflies will be available for purchase.
  • Deer resistant plants: 10:30 a.m. June 12 and June 15. Master gardener Sue Roderus will discuss how to use deer resistant plants in your yard and garden. Herb pots: 10:30 a.m. June 20 and June 22. Horticulturist Carol Guedalia will share tips for successful herb planting. Reservations are encouraged.
