Prep Roundup, May 19: HHCA girls help South win SCISAA all-star soccer game

SCISAA North-South All-Star Game: Five players from the Hilton Head Christian Academy soccer team participated in the SCISAA North-South All-Star Game on Saturday at Orangeburg Prep, leading the South team -- coached by HHCA's Ben Gerdts -- to a 2-0 victory.

Playing in the win were Allison Meeder, Lexi Lainhart, Alyssa Lane, Andy Anderson and Hannah Reynolds. Meeder, Lainhart and Lane were all-state performers this season, while Anderson was an all-region defender.

Lainhart finished the year with 32 goals and 11 assists, Meeder had 15 goals and six assists, Lane had five goals and three assists, and Reynolds tallied eight goals and three assists for the Eagles.

CLAY SHOOTING

Hilton Head Christian Academy: The HHCA Sporting Clays team traveled to Richburg's Rocky Creek Sporting Club last weekend to compete with more than 480 shooters from South Carolina for the state meet.

Hilton Head Christian's JV squad placed fourth out of 21 teams. Shooting for the Eagles' JV team were Matt Crowe (89 out of 100 clays broken), Shaun Poole (81) and James Bartholomew (84)

Other Hilton Head Christian scores at the state meet were: Drew Davis (89), Hunter Greenwell (86), Kerry Davis (71), Reece Woods (52) and Bryce Flowers (78).
