Adams claims victory in WSCGA Senior Championship at Belfair

Jennifer Adams shot a 3-over-par 71-76--147 over Tuesday and Wednesday at her home course, Bluffton's Belfair Golf Club, to win the Women's S.C. Golf Association's Senior Championship, ending Karen Ferree's win streak at two.

Adams defeated Long Cove Club's Susan Cummings and Three Pines' Stephanie Van Inwagen by 5 strokes. Cummings shot back-to-back 76s, while Van Inwagen shot 73-79.

Long Cove's Ferree was fifth at 79-77--156.

The Super Senior winner was Lawrette McCann out of Aiken's Woodside Plantation Country Club. She shot back-to-back 81s to win the first Super Senior flight, for golfers 65 and older, by six strokes.
