U.S. Representative-elect Mark Sanford will be sworn into Congress at approximately 5:15 p.m. Wednesday.

The swearing in will take place in the U.S. House of Representatives chamber in Washington D.C.

Sanford won the 1st congressional election May 7, beating Democrat Elizabeth Colbert Busch by nine points. He replaces now-Sen. Tim Scott who was appointed to his new Senate post by Gov. Nikki Haley.
