Bluffton students rule town for hour

For one hour on Tuesday, Bluffton High School students will govern the town of Bluffton in a mock council meeting.

The meeting starts at 4:30 p.m. at Town Hall, with Devin Oliver presiding as "mayor." Evan Maxwell will serve as town manager. The council members are Alexander Nowlin, Michelle Perri, Bobby Gregor and Harrison Dixon.

All mock leaders are students in Erin Reichert's Youth In Government Class at Bluffton High.

Other students will play chief of police, director of finance, director of growth management, director of engineering, and town attorney.

The meeting is open to the public.
