Dillon Clark

A 22-year-old Hilton Head Island man faces three drug distribution charges and a single possession charge after deputies found drugs in the man's vehicle during a traffic stop, according to a report from the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies arrested Dillon Clark and charged him with possession with intent to distribute cocaine, possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine, possession with intent to distribute marijuana and possession of methamphetamine after deputies found the drugs in his car early Tuesday morning, according to the report.

Clark's gold Cadillac was pulled over by deputies because it had no working tailights, according to the report. The car was searched after the driver ran away and the deputy smelled marijuana in the car. That search turned up an orange prescription bottle filled with the drugs, plastic baggies, and a scale from the center console of the car. Clark was a passenger in his car and was arrested at the scene.

He is being held for prosecution at the Beaufort County Detention Center, according to the jail log.

A 26-year-old woman was also arrested and charged with simple possession of marijuana during the stop, according to the report.
