Hilton Head Hospital wins heart award

Hilton Head Hospital has received the Get With the Guidelines Heart Failure Gold Quality Achievement Award from the American Heart Association.

The recognition signifies the hospital has reached goals for treating heart-failure patients based on guidelines recommended by the American Heart Association and the American College of Cardiology, according to a news release.

Hilton Head Hospital has earned a Gold Plus Quality Achievement Award for two consecutive years.

"Hilton Head Hospital is dedicated to making our care for heart-failure patients among the best in the country," said Mark T. O'Neil Jr., president and CEO of Hilton Head Hospital. "This recognition demonstrates that we are on the right track, and we're very proud of our team."
