Obama should shoulder responsibility for attack

Harry Truman, when describing his role as president, said the buck stopped here.

Regrettably, President Barack Obama is content to pass the buck at every opportunity. He seems to love the trappings of being commander in chief but is not at all enamored with the responsibilities of the position. He has surrounded himself with pseudo intellectuals, who spend most of their time operating in some parallel universe, where reality never enters the equation.

Every decision that they make is done so through the prism of political expediency. The well-being and safety of the people they purport to serve never quite makes it onto their radar. The incident in Benghazi, Libya, demonstrated just how disingenuous and corrupt this "transparent" administration has proved to be.

After declaring that the war on terror to be over, the Obama brain trust very quickly blamed the Sept. 11, 2012, attack on a spontaneous reaction to an anti-Islamic video that few actually ever saw. They trotted out poor Susan Rice to tout the party line in the face of evidence to the contrary. Since none of these progressive ideologues has ever served their country while in harm's way, they never understood that Americans never leave their fellow countrymen behind. They saw this as a potential impediment to re-election, and took the path of least resistance.

Hillary Clinton's State Department was either incompetent or downright negligent in its lack of response. The president passed the buck and flew to Las Vegas for a fundraiser.
