Crash on westbound U.S. 278 snarls traffic; no injuries

By about 8:45 a.m., tow trucks were on the scene of a three-car crash on U.S. 278 which snarled traffic Wednesday morning.


A crash on westbound U.S. 278 snarled traffic Thursday morning. No one was injured, according to Bluffton Township Fire District Capt. Randy Hunter.

The crash reduced traffice to one lane near Buckwalter Parkway. Traffic was congested to the Rose Hill neighborhood, about a mile and a half away at about 8:45 a.m.

Three cars were involved in the crash, according to the Beaufort County Emergency Management Department's Twitter, which alerted drivers to the crash at about 8:15 a.m. By about 8:45 a.m., tow trucks were on scene removing the cars.
