Free water-safety training for dogs, their owners available this summer

Abby Bird of Alphadog Training Academy will offer free training and play on Fridays in the late afternoons or early evenings in various water locations in the Lowcountry starting June 7.

The classes are aimed at owners who want to teach their dogs to swim, be safe, retrieve or learn some basic water rescue skills. Dogs must be 35 pounds or heavier or a puppy that will grow to be large.
