Not voting in election only hurts the process

info@islandpacket.comMay 6, 2013

I am disgusted with people who choose to opt out of voting as sort of a rebellion.

Do they realize how their actions affect all of us? There is no perfect candidate or human, though we would like to think so. You look at a person's previous record, experience and how it has or will benefit you. Candidates who have no record or plan only use character assassinations to try to destroy their opponents. That's their only way to win and disguise what, if anything, they stand for. They can fool many potential voters in that way especially the uninformed. We certainly know that to be a fact.

To bring about change, one must be part of the process, which includes the primaries. Many people don't vote in primaries and then are unhappy with their choices. Use your voting privilege to pick the best person for the job. If you don't take part in the process, you have no right to complain.
