Hilton Head Island High boys soccer standout Chip Tremarelli has been named the national high school player of the week by NSCAA/TopDrawerSoccer.com.

The senior earned the honor for his work on April 16 and April 18 against James Island and Beaufort High, where he tallied a trio of goals across the Seahawks' pair of 3-1 victories. He added to his sterling season Tuesday by notching four first-half goals in the regular-season finale against Berkeley.

He has helped Hilton Head High race out to a 17-4 record, a 9-1 mark in Region 8-AAA and the top overall seed in the Lower State playoffs. The Seahawks begin their trek toward a second state championship appearance next Tuesday against Airport.
