Hilton Head Preparatory School baseball standout Jake Martin signed a letter of intent Tuesday morning to play at Young-Harris College, a Division II school in Georgia.

The Mountain Lions, currently 22-22 overall in the Peach Belt Conference, are led by coach Rick Robinson, in his 15th year with the program.

Martin, who began his high school career at Bluffton, helped guide the Dolphins to the No. 2 seed in the SCISAA Class 3-A playoffs and a first-round bye. He capped Prep's regular season with the victory in an 5-4, eight-inning win over Northwood Academy when he registered a scoreless 1 2-3 innings of relief with four strikeouts.
