The Digital Public Library of America has been launched and includes data from the Beaufort County Library.

The DPLA is designed to establish a national network out of the more than 40 state and regional digital libraries and large digital libraries in the U.S., bringing together digitized content from across the country, according to a news release.

The Beaufort County Library system has added 848 images to the digital library from its Beaufort District Collection.

To see the digital collection, search "Beaufort, SC" on the DPLA home page.
