Beaufort police rescue child locked in SUV

A 1-year-old child accidentally locked inside an SUV was rescued by Beaufort police Tuesday.

Chief Matt Clancy said officers broke the rear window to get to the child. The SUV was parked outside a grocery store on Sea Island Parkway for about a half-hour before the rescue, Clancy said.
