Jacob Raehn, a third-year law student from Hilton Head Island, has earned one of two Luther Lee Scholarship Awards from the University of South Carolina School of Law.

The scholarship is awarded to third-year students with a primary interest in trial law. The scholarship was established in honor of Luther Lee, a 1950 alumnus and a pioneer of personal injury trial law, according to a USC news release.

"It is my honor to continue the tradition Luther Lee envisaged for advocacy-excellence in South Carolina," Raehn said in the release.
