Hilton Head to collect hazardous household waste

The Town of Hilton Head Island is sponsoring a household hazardous-waste roundup from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at its Fire & Rescue Division headquarters on Dillon Road.

Residents can drop off paints, poisons, pesticides, expired medications, cleaning and automotive products, fuel, and fluorescent bulbs. Electronic waste, such as televisions, microwaves and VCRs, also will be accepted.
