Keep focused on issues that matter in election

The 2013 Super Bowl kicked off at 6:30 p.m. There was a power failure, and it didn't officially end until 11:30 p.m. If my 14-year-old child were at home alone (for whatever reason) and called to ask that I come over, there wouldn't be a court order on earth that could keep me from that child. Consequences be damned.

Let's get back to the reasons to elect someone. The economy is in the tank, we have a horrible unemployment problem (not to mention underemployment), an unsecured border and government spending that is totally out of control, with Obamacare right around the corner.

Please think carefully about which candidate has a record of not taking federal money and brings new meaning to the words "fiscal conservative," and be sure to vote your conscience. Staying home from the polls is not an option if you want to change the direction of our current administration.
