YMCA to host community prayer breakfast

The Wardle Family YMCA in Port Royal will host the fifth annual community prayer breakfast at 7 a.m. May 2.

The event is part of a nationwide National Day of Prayer celebration. It is free, catered and open to the public. It will feature Jerry Stokes as a guest speaker. Stokes, who owns several car dealerships, has served in the U.S. Army and is an elder at Community Bible Church of Beaufort. He and his wife, Cecelia, have one son, JJ, a daughter-in-law, Joni, and two grandchildren.
